Vancouver Island Flag Football Tournament | December 5–6, 2026

Bring your team to Battle of the Island, a youth 5v5 flag football tournament on Vancouver Island. Compete in three Saturday pool games, then battle for your division championship in Sunday’s single-elimination playoffs. Every team advances, with four games guaranteed across the weekend.
Registration is limited to 24 teams total across four divisions.
Tournament Details
- Location: Arbutus Meadows, 1515 Island Hwy E, Nanoose Bay
- Dates: December 5–6, 2026
- Saturday: 9 AM–7 PM — pool play
- Sunday: 9 AM–4 PM — single-elimination playoffs
- Format: 5v5 flag football
- Game length: 25 minutes
- Team registration: $500 + GST — $525 total
These are the overall tournament windows. Division schedules and individual game times will be provided before the event.
Youth Flag Football Divisions
- Peewee: Grades 6–7
- Jr Bantam: Grades 7–8
- Bantam: Grades 9–10
- Midget: Grades 11–12
What Your Team Can Expect
Your registration includes three Saturday pool games and entry into Sunday’s playoffs. Teams will compete for division championships and awards, with an athletic trainer on site throughout the tournament.

Join Caged Athletics for six weeks of indoor youth flag football at Arbutus Meadows in Nanoose Bay. Stay active, develop football skills and compete with teammates this winter!
The 2026 season runs from November 23 to December 30, with each division playing once a week.
MONDAYS
Jr Bantams — Born 2014–2015 | 5–7 PM
Bantams — Born 2012–2013 | 7–9 PM
Dates: November 23, 30; December 7, 14, 21, 28.
We’re expecting 6–8 teams in each Monday division. These two-hour blocks are division playing windows, not two hours of play for every team. Individual team game times will be shared before the season.
WEDNESDAYS
Atoms + Peewees — Born 2016–2019 | 7–8 PM
Midgets — Born 2010–2011 | 8–9 PM
Dates: November 25; December 2, 9, 16, 23, 30.
All team rosters will be capped at 8 players to ensure proper playing time.
PLAY IN TWO LEAGUES — SAVE 50% ON YOUR SECOND!

Fall Youth Flag Football
Keep your athlete active, developing, and competing this fall with Caged Athletics Flag Football!
Our 6-week fall program is designed to help young athletes build their football skills in a fun, fast-paced, and competitive environment. Players will work on throwing, catching, route running, defensive skills, footwork, and game awareness while putting those skills into action through flag football competition.
Whether your athlete is newer to football or already has experience, the program provides an opportunity to develop their game, compete with other athletes, and build confidence on the field.

Adult 5v5 Flag Football League in Nanaimo
Looking for adult flag football in Nanaimo? Caged Athletics is launching a 6-week Adult 5v5 Flag Football Leaguethis fall at Pleasant Valley School Field.
The league is built for adults who want competitive, fast-paced football in a fun weekly environment. Get your team together and compete every Monday night for six weeks, with two divisions planned based on team registrations and competition level.
We're aiming for 8 teams, so space will be limited.
