Caged Athletics is excited to welcome Annie Jorgenson to our softball coaching staff.
Annie brings a strong combination of collegiate playing experience, elite softball background, academic success, and a passion for helping young athletes grow. She is currently a NCAA Division II softball player at D’Youville University in Buffalo, New York, where she is studying in the Nutrition and Dietetics BS/MS combined 5-year program.
Before moving into college softball, Annie developed through a strong Vancouver Island and BC softball pathway, playing with programs such as CVI Rage C, Nanaimo Breakers 06B, Victoria Devils 06A, White Rock Renegades 06A, and Fraser Valley Fusion 06A.
Annie’s playing resume includes being part of the 2025 U19A Softball Canada National Championship team with Fraser Valley Fusion, as well as winning the 2025 East Coast Conference Softball Championship with D’Youville University.
Individually, she has earned several major honours, including 2026 East Coast Conference Pre-Season Softball Player of the Year, 2025 First Team All-Conference, 2025 Second Team All-Region, and D’Youville University Newcomer Athlete of the Year.
We are excited to welcome Lexi Walper to the Caged Athletics team as a Softball Instructor.
Lexi brings a strong softball background, high-level playing experience, and an impressive academic resume to our athletes. She grew up locally, beginning her softball journey with Rage at 9 years old before moving through Rage U12 B and Devils 2006 A.
Lexi has also competed with several strong travel and club programs, including Canada Futures, Synergy Gold, Arizona Vendetta, and Arizona Firecrackers.
After starting her development on Vancouver Island, Lexi attended Seton Catholic Preparatory in Chandler, Arizona, where she graduated in 2024 with a 4.0 GPA and earned Honor Roll recognition all four years of high school.
She was also named to the All-Region Academic Softball Team in 2023 and 2024, and earned 2nd Team All-Region Softball Recognition in 2024.

Caged Athletics is fired up to welcome Lucas Laukkanen to the team as a Professional Baseball Instructor for the summer.
Lucas brings a serious playing résumé to the facility. He has been the starting shortstop for Cloud County the past two seasons, showcasing high-level defensive range, baseball IQ, leadership, and consistent offensive production.
He is also committed to NCAA Division 1 USC Upstate.
Lucas will be offering private baseball lessons starting June 29th, running
Monday–Friday from 10:00 AM–4:00 PM.
This is a great opportunity for athletes to train with a high-level college player who understands what it takes to compete, develop, and move on to the next level.

We’re excited to welcome Darren and Kaylie to Duncan Batting Cages for weekly, high-energy, high-impact private lessons designed to help athletes take their game to the next level.
Starting Sunday, February 22, athletes can train every week with two passionate, experienced coaches who specialize in building confident, fundamentally strong players.

Darren focuses on developing complete baseball players, with strong attention to swing efficiency, timing, approach, and overall performance. His sessions are built to help athletes gain confidence, consistency, and real in-game results.
🥎 Kaylie – Softball Instruction
Kaylie brings a high-energy, athlete-first approach to every lesson. She works closely with players on mechanics, movement patterns, and mental confidence — creating an environment where athletes can grow, compete, and believe in their ability.
These sessions are perfect for players looking to:
- Improve hitting mechanics and consistency
- Build confidence at the plate
- Refine fundamentals
- Train in a focused, positive and professional environment

We’re excited to officially welcome Gus Wilson to the coaching staff at Caged Athletics.
Gus brings a wealth of experience from both baseball and fastpitch at elite levels. His playing career includes time with Langley Blaze, Galveston College, and the University of Science & Arts Oklahoma, along with competing internationally with Team Canada and earning IBL All-Star honors. His fastpitch background includes Sooke Loggers and STK Fastball.
In addition to his playing experience, Gus has coached with the Mid Island Pirates Sr. program and currently works with our 12U & 13U Caged Athletics travel teams.
Gus is now offering private lessons focused on skill development, mechanics, and performance training for both baseball and fastpitch athletes.
