Caged Athletics and Nanaimo Minor Baseball Association are teaming up to offer six weeks of focused baseball development for NMBA athletes this Fall/Winter.
The Caged Skills Clinics are designed to give players concentrated training in three of the most important areas of the game: pitching, hitting and catching.
Rather than trying to cover every aspect of baseball in one session, each clinic allows players to spend six consecutive weeks developing one specific skill set. The goal is to create better movement patterns, more confidence, more consistency and a stronger foundation heading into the next baseball season.
Dates: November 9 – December 18, 2026
Location: NMBA Batting Cage @ Serauxmen Sports Fields
Cost: $150 per clinic
Eligibility: Open to NMBA players only
Age Groups: 9U, 11U, 13U & 15U
The pitching program will focus on building a strong throwing foundation while helping athletes improve their mechanics, body control, direction and ability to command the baseball.
Our hitting clinics will focus on developing a more consistent and athletic swing. Players will work through proper movement patterns, balance, timing, barrel control and offensive approach while getting plenty of quality repetitions.
Catching sessions will focus on the fundamentals needed to become a more complete catcher, including receiving, blocking, transfers, throwing mechanics, footwork and overall confidence behind the plate.
Clinic space is limited to keep the training environment focused and give athletes more opportunities for repetitions and individual coaching.
Registration is available through NMBA.ca.
